Daycare description / philosophy

Welcome to Tytko's Tykes Daycare.
I opened my daycare almost seven years ago so that I could be home for my children and do what I love to do. I run my daycare like a business but with the flexibility and enjoyable environment that children need, want and deserve. I love what I do and working with and teaching children is the most rewarding job I've ever had. References are available from current clients and from those who's children have 'graduated' to JK. I have a large yard to play in that is fenced with lots of toys. My rec room is our indoor playground with lots of educational activities and creative opportunities for your child to get his/her imagination going. I believe largely in play-based learning at an early age. We have a very nice routine that includes snack times, structured learning, crafts, cleanup, outside play and free play time. Occasionally we go on outings to playgroups like the Ontario Early Years Centers, Petting Zoos, playgrounds, fire stations, the Bird Aviary, Butterfly Conservatory, splash pads or walks around the neighborhood. Constant interaction and lots of love and understanding ensures a positive learning environment for my daycare children. I will teach your child proper eating habits, manners, respect for others and acceptable social behavior. Your child will become one of the family.
I can provide proof of proper home and auto insurance and First Aid and CPR certification. Drop in from parents is encouraged at anytime. Receipts are issued in January.
